Why this is personal for me
One of my closest friends had bariatric surgery and lost 200 pounds. He got his life back. He moves. He's happy. He's active.
I want that for every person stuck in that prison. I can't operate — but I can make sure the surgeons who do are findable, and that the patients who need them don't slip through the cracks before they get there.
